Marumanam is the story of two individuals Aarti and Rajesh. Aarti is a divorcee with a son, Arun. Rajesh is a widower with two daughters. It has been four years since Aarti’s husband left her. Rajesh’s wife died three years ago. Aarti’s in-laws and Rajesh’s family want them to get married. Initially Rajesh and Aarti get married for the well being of their kids after a lot of hesitation. Thus the story revolves around their life after their Marumanam. Parents of both Aarti and Rajesh want them to lead a happy life but their past love blocks them to get into new life. Even kids of Aarti and Rajesh find hard to mingle, live and play together. Will love bloom between Arti and Rajesh? Will kids accept Aarti and Rajesh as their mom and dad and Will the society accept re-marriage for ladies. All these are answered with lots of twist and turns.
